    TMJ/TMD

TMJ/TMD causes a multitude of issues -- physically, emotionally, and perspectively.

Physically there's tension and pain.  Emotionally there's constant irritation and anger which may result in hyper vigilance.  Perspectively life is not safe, risk is everywhere.

    TMJ/TMD can be caused by:

    • Fall on the chin

    • Punch to the chin or jaw

    • Dental issues which force chewing on one side

    • Neck injury which rotates the head to one side

    • Head trauma

    • Fall on tailbone which overtime may result in deviated neck alignment

TMJ/TMD often is just part of a set of visible and invisible symptoms.  Some of them are anger, depression, tension, PTSD, migraine, neck/shoulder/back pains, past emotional trauma, etc.  TMJ/TMD is a baseline stress that needs to be resolved.  At Mindfully Centered, we've good success treating TMJ/TMD -- not with needles but understanding and sensitivity in restoring proper alignments.
